Päivikki and Sakari Sohlberg foundation has awarded Dr. Timonen 17 000 € reserch funding for studies on novel boron carriers for LAT1-targeted boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). The grant will be used to hire a PhD student to cary out synthesis and evaluation of novel boronated amino acid dervatives.
