PI, Juri Timonen
Ph.D. Organic Chemistry
Dr. Timonen defended his Ph.D. dissertation in 2013. Following his defence, Dr. Timonen was employed as a lecturer for institutions, such as the West Finland College. He was also a visiting researcher in the School of Medicine, University of Tampere, and a sub-editor for an academic journal. Eventually, Dr. Timonen joined Professor Jarkko Rautio’s research team in the School of Pharmacy, University of Eastern Finland, as a post-doctoral researcher. Two years later, in January 2019, Dr. Timonen founded the Medicinal Organic Synthesis Research group.
